The Path That Built the Studio
Mirela’s story begins long before Naples. She trained as an event manager and event designer at the University of Darmstadt in Germany, with earlier studies in nutrition science and hotel management — three disciplines that taught her, in different ways, how to host people beautifully.
By her late twenties she was running one of Germany’s largest event design and floral design companies, leading a full team and producing weddings, galas, brand activations, and private celebrations across Europe. Clients were demanding. Budgets ran high. Standards were exacting. As a result, it became the school that shaped everything she does today.
A Second Chapter in Florida
In July 2018, after several visits to Florida, she decided to begin a second chapter — this time on her own terms. Naples Picasso Flowers opened in November of that same year. What started as a single designer in a new country has grown into Southwest Florida’s most credentialed luxury floral and event design studio, serving brides, country clubs, corporate clients, and private collectors from Naples to Miami.
She works the way she always has: directly with the client, hand-designing every element, refusing to delegate the moments that matter.

Mirela has carried that line with her since the beginning of her career, and it shapes every decision the studio makes.
Talent is the easy part — anyone can sketch a beautiful centerpiece. However, the art lies in the execution: the conditioning of every stem, the proportion of every arrangement to its room, the temperature of the venue, the timing of the install, the small adjustments made on-site that nobody but the designer will ever notice. That is where a master separates herself from a florist.
As a result, every Naples Picasso Flowers commission begins with a personal consultation, never a price list.

At the AIFD World Cup, Mirela placed second in the world — the only designer from the United States to reach the global top ten at the event. Furthermore, she remains an active AIFD title candidate and continues to design and compete at the highest level of the profession.
