The studio is led by Mirela Beneš, a German-trained Florida State Master Designer. Every LaPlaya wedding we take is designed to the couple, the light, and the spaces themselves — never from a template.

LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort sits directly on the Gulf at 9891 Gulf Shore Drive, on Vanderbilt Beach in North Naples — a rare resort where every wedding space touches the water or looks over it.
We design across all of LaPlaya’s celebration spaces: ceremonies on South Beach and North Beach, the resort’s private Gulf beaches hosting up to 450 guests; the beach-adjacent Gulf Lawn for tropical ceremonies and cocktail hours up to 250; the Vanderbilt Ballroom — about 5,000 square feet for up to 250 guests with views of Vanderbilt Bay — and its covered terrace; the chandeliered Bayview Ballroom for up to 125 and its bay-view terrace; the North Pool for poolside evenings; and Lantern Lane, the candlelit bayside walkway made for the most intimate gatherings.
Each space asks for different flowers — wind-proofed structures on the sand, bay-light palettes on the terraces, ceiling-height presence in the ballrooms. We design the day as one story across all of them.

Yes. Couples marrying at LaPlaya select their own floral designer, and Naples Picasso Flowers is glad to be that studio. We coordinate directly with the resort’s event team on timing, load-in, and breakdown so everything runs to the resort’s schedule.
Which spaces at LaPlaya do you design for?
All of them. We design florals for South Beach and North Beach ceremonies, the Gulf Lawn, the Vanderbilt Ballroom and its terrace, the Bayview Ballroom and its terrace, the North Pool, and intimate gatherings along Lantern Lane.
What makes a LaPlaya beach ceremony different for flowers?

How far ahead should we book a LaPlaya wedding florist?
For peak-season dates we recommend nine to twelve months, because we limit how many weddings we take each weekend to protect quality. Shorter timelines are sometimes possible.
Do you handle delivery, setup, and breakdown at the resort?
Yes. Our own team delivers, installs, styles each space, and manages breakdown, coordinating quietly with LaPlaya’s staff so your day unfolds exactly as planned.
